Shakhtar Football Director Dario Srna said that the Donetsk club plans to play home matches of the Champions League in Poland.
“We want to play Champions League matches in Poland. It could be a sign of gratitude. It is a pity that no Polish club plays in the Champions League. If we could give you football of this level, we would be happy. In what city? I think in Warsaw. In what stadium? So far we are considering different options, “- says Srna SportoweFakty.
It will be recalled that the football season in Ukraine ended prematurely due to a full-scale Russian invasion, and the Donetsk team, which led the UPL, later won a direct ticket to the group stage of the Champions League.
This happened due to reaching the Champions League final Liverpool, as well as the exclusion of Russian clubs from competitions under the auspices of UEFA.
