“Access to the Internet service News.Google is restricted in Russia for providing access to materials containing inaccurate information about the course of the” special military operation in Ukraine “(so called in the aggressor country, the war unleashed in our country – ed.)”, – stated in Roskomnadzor.

The publication notes that on March 3, Roskomnadzor demanded that Google, which is not responsible for Google's operations, “stop disseminating false political information in Russia about a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.”
According to the Russian authorities, Google “creates protest mood” in the audience. The claims concerned YouTube commercials, which RKN called an element of “information warfare.”
