The Russian national team will miss Eurobasket-2022.
European Division of the International Basketball Federation < (FIBA-Europe) has decided to remove all national teams and clubs from international tournaments.
This was announced on the official website of the organization.
The Russian national team will not play in Eurobasket 2022 will be replaced by the Montenegrin team. The tournament will take place from September 1 to 18 in Georgia, Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic.
It was also decided to ban clubs from Russia and Belarus from competing in the European Cups next season. For women, it is the Euroleague and the European Cup, and for men – the Champions League and the FIBA European Cup. Ukraine.
