Since the beginning of the Russian military invasion, the International Association of Academies of Sciences has not reacted to the tragic events in Ukraine. This is stated in the official address of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
“The fire of Russian aircraft and artillery erases peaceful cities from the face of the earth, destroys civilian infrastructure – kindergartens, schools, hospitals, homes. Under the bombings, civilians and innocent children die. including institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kiev, Kharkov, Sumy and other cities of Ukraine “, – it is written in the document.
In this regard, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine demands that the IAEA leadership publicly condemn the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, call for an immediate ceasefire and the destruction of the country's scientific and industrial potential.

A separate item called for the suspension of membership in the Association of Russian organizations that did not react to or support military aggression.
