Meta, which owns social networks Facebook and Instagram, has allowed users from some countries to publish posts calling for violence against the Russian occupiers involved in the war against Ukraine. In addition, it will be possible to publish content calling for the death of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who started the war, and the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who supports him, according to Reuters.

“In response to Russia's attack on Ukraine, we have temporarily lifted the ban on content that normally violates our rules, such as calling for the death of the Russian occupiers.” But we will continue to block calls for violence against civilians from Russia, “the Meta spokesman said in a statement.
