The company Meta, which owns the social networks Facebook and Instagram disabled more than 1,000 fake accounts (“trolls”) that were leaving comments in support of the war in Ukraine. According to Radio Freedom, the “trolls” worked every day “with a short break for lunch”.
Moreover, some of the accounts published pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian accounts within a few minutes.

It is noted that Meta began an investigation after the publication of the Russian publication “Fontanka”, which exposed the “troll factory”. Her work was publicly coordinated through the “Cyber Front Z” Telegram channel.
In the course of this investigation, attempts to “spam” posts on social networks Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, “VKontakte” and “Odnoklasniki” were discovered. Politicians, journalists, actors and brands from around the world became targets for commentators. All of them publicly condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine and supported our country.
The Meta report says the campaign had an overt and covert component. For example, the Cyber Front Z channel published calls to follow links to accounts or specific posts and leave comments there that support Russia's aggression. Fake accounts operated by the “troll factory” also did this.
The company studied the activity of the accounts and concluded that they worked seven days a week “with a small break for lunch.” Additionally, there were “individual cases” of the same account posting comments with different positions within minutes of each other.
Meta believes that this was an attempt to undermine the activities of the “troll factory” from the inside.
After the investigation, Meta deleted 45 accounts of “trolls” on the social network Facebook and 1037 – on Instagram and continues to block their attempts to return.< /p> Related video
