According to forecasts, the first magnetic storm of class G1, weak, is expected as early as August 3. Another similar event this month is expected on August 17. The Earth's magnetosphere will be excited on August 4-5 and 18-19.
Scientists also announced “unstable conditions” of solar weather on August 6, 11-12 and 20. At the same time, they note that this entire period is expected to be marked by low solar activity.
This is due to the fact that the regions of our star that turn towards Earth are either inactive or active on them. is slowing down.
However, the forecast for such a long period may be inaccurate and may still change.
Recall that on July 30 scientists registered a new spot on the Sun, which increased three times a day. It was expected that this spot could become the source of flares directed towards the Earth.
