Scientists from the University of Tokyo have created digital maps on which visualized the destruction in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression. According to NHK, a group led by Watanabe Hitenori updates these maps online daily.
Satellite images published by American and European companies are used to create the maps. Watanabe noted that satellites using infrared radiation have shown that large-scale fires have recently broken out in several regions of Luhansk region, indicating aggressive attacks by Russia.

He also added that fires broke out in many residential areas near Kharkiv. The scientist notes that as part of the strategy of destruction, Russia is attacking non-military objects.
Watanabe noted that with the help of maps you can convey to a large number of people, not only large cities but also small settlements that remain out of the media's attention are battlefields.
