The former boxing world champion reacted to the actions of the organization.
Former heavyweight world champion Volodymyr Klitschko commented the decision of the International Boxing Association (IBA) to return Russians and Belarusians to international tournaments.
“Can you knock yourself out? Yes. The IBA is an example and makes a laughing stock of itself in front of the whole world, disrespecting humanistic and universal values.
Boxing deserves better. What a shame,” Klitschko wrote on Twitter.
We would like to remind you that the IBA board of directors removed all restrictions on boxers from the Russian Federation and Belarus, despite the continuation of the war in Ukraine and the recommendations of the IOC. The head of the organization is the Russian Umar Kremliov.
At the same time, the IBA removed the Boxing Federation of Ukraine after the decision to change the president of the organization.
