Ukraine national team won historic gold in artistic swimming at the European Water Sports Championship, which started in the capital of Italy, Rome.
Ukrainians successfully performed in the technical group program. They started in sixth place and immediately rose to first place with a score of 92.5106 points.
The team included Vladyslava Aleksiyeva, Maryna Aleksiyeva, Veronika Hryshko, Olesya Derevyanchenko, Angelina Ovchinnikova, Valeriya Tyshchenko, Marta Fedina and Anastasia Shmonina.
For the Ukrainian national team, this is the first ever gold in this discipline at the European Championship level.
