Hackers hacked Russia's Qiwi payment system

They received credit card information from 12.5 million users.

Hacker group NB65, associated with Anonymous said it had managed to hack Russia's Qiwi payment system. According to the Anonymous page on Twitter, hackers were able to filter the credit card data of 12.5 million users of the system.

In total, hackers found 10.5 terabytes of copies of data. They advised Qiwi representatives to contact them if they wanted to keep the data private.

As a confirmation of their words, the hackers published a screenshot of the message sent to Qiwi representatives. It says that in addition to credit card data, hackers also have information on 30 million payment records.

They also added that representatives of the payment system have three days to respond. After this period, they will start publishing one million entries per day.
