Google will prohibit third-party applications from recording calls

The publication notes that Google is slow rejects support and removes APIs used to record calls in different versions of Android. The company does this for reasons of user privacy, and also because the laws governing the recording of calls in different countries differ.

Android 10 prohibits the recording of calls by default. Therefore, developers have begun to use the accessibility API for this. At the same time, after the new restrictions come into force, it will also be impossible.

It is about recording calls by third-party programs. Built-in similar features, such as Google Pixels or Xiaomi smartphones, will continue to work.

Earlier, Google removed dozens of apps from its app store because it found that they contained a software item that may secretly collect data.
