Fraudsters use Facebook to obtain data on Ukrainian bank cards

The attackers offer to receive financial assistance from the EU.

Government team responds to computer emergencies Ukraine's CERT-UA found a fraudulent page on the social network Facebook, which simulates the resource of the TV channel “Ukraine 24”. With its help, the attackers are trying to gain access to the data of Ukrainian bank cards, according to the State Special Communications Service. After that, the user will be asked to provide personal data and make an additional payment, as a result of which the payment card data will be compromised.

To protect themselves from such schemes, users are advised never to enter payment card details on unfamiliar and suspicious resources, as well as to adjust the control of cash flows by connecting SMS notifications and setting a limit on transactions.

If data The cards were entered on the fraudulent site, it should be blocked.
