Ukrainian Vladislava Kharkiv wins European Championship in fencing on swords in Turkey, reports Tribuna.com.

25-year-old Ukrainian in the final defeated the silver medalist of the 2016 Olympics, two-time world champion in the individual competition Italian Rossella F ' Yamingo – 15:10.

For Vladislava this is the first gold medal of the European Championship in her career. Kharkiv became the third Ukrainian swordswoman in history to win the European Championships in the individual championship, as Natalia Konrad (2003) and Yana Shemyakina (2005) did.

– then Shemyakina won bronze. In 2005, Shemyakina won the last gold for Ukraine in this discipline.
