Olena Khomrova lost a loved one.
In Nikolaev as a result of Russian bombings the father of the Olympic champion was lost -2008 on fencing of Elena Khomrova.
As the National Fencing Federation of Ukraine reported, Nikolay Khomrov became one of 36 victims of missile strike of the Russian occupiers on the building of the Nikolaev regional state administration.

We will remind, Russians struck missile strike on the Nikolaev regional state administration on March 29, and part of the building collapsed.
Elena Khomrova won a gold medal of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing in team sabers. She also won many medals at world and European championships. The athlete is the wife of Ukrainian basketball player Serhiy Hladyr.
