A 6-year-old boy from Mariupol passed a letter to Boris Johnson through Shakhtar

The child turned to one of the most influential politicians in the world.

6-year-old Ilya Kostushevich from Mariupol through < Shakhtar has handed over a letter to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, the press service of Donetsk reports.

Johnson recently wrote an open letter addressed to Ukrainian children. And then Elijah decided to send a reply to the head of the British government:

“Dear Boris Johnson. I want the war to end sooner so that people do not die. I want to play football at home in Mariupol. I would like to so that all the children of the world have no war.

Greetings to all the children in Britain, thank you for helping us. We will win. I have a cat Frosya. I am sending you the flag of Ukraine that I drew. Elijah, 6 years old, “Kostushevich wrote in a letter. It should be noted that the boy's parents were killed during a missile strike by Russian troops on Mariupol. A child was rescued from the blockade by volunteers, and a family from Sloviansk adopted her.

On February 24, Russian President Putin made an urgent statement about a special military operation in Ukraine, launching a large-scale invasion of Ukrainian cities.

Destroyed Mariupol was under siege by the Russian army for several months, and on May 21 it came under the control of the occupiers.
