Zelensky approved the competition for the selection of candidates for the High Council of Justice

The tender commission included five people.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky initiated the selection candidates to the High Council of Justice. This is stated in Decree No. 527/2022, published on the president's website.

“To form a competitive commission for the selection of candidates for the appointment by the President of Ukraine to the position of a member of the High Council of Justice (hereinafter – the competitive commission) and to approve its personal composition”, – the decree says.

The president approved the personal composition of the competition commission:

docent of the Department of Criminal Law No. 1 of the National University of Law named after Yaroslav the Wise, candidate of legal sciences Serhiy Grinchak;

professor of the Department of Theory and History of Law and the State of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, doctor of legal sciences Taras Didych;

professor of the Department of Law, of Political Science and International Relations of the Alfred Nobel University, Doctor of Law Boris Kofman;

Retired judge of the Court of Appeal of the Kharkiv Region Serhiy Ocheretny and Associate Professor of the Department of International Law Education and Science of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, candidate of legal sciences Zakhar Tropin.

We remind you, 22 In February, the Supreme Council of Justice stopped working – ten members immediately resigned. Thus, from February 23, 2022, the Supreme Council of Justice will no longer have the necessary authorized composition.
