Vice President of Gazprombank, who left Russia for Kyiv: “I want to wash up”

Volobuev suggests that the suicides of top managers in Russian state-owned banks were staged.

That-manager of “Gazprombank” Igor Volobuev, who previously left Russia for Ukraine and joined the ranks of territorial defense in Kyiv, gave an interview to The Insider and Liga.net.

He said that he lives with friends.

Volobuev worked for Gazprombank as a publicist for six years and as head of Gazprom's press service for 16 years. After the start of Russia's war against Ukraine, he packed up and left Moscow on March 2.

Volobuev is a native of Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine, where he lived for 18 years and then moved to Russia. He said his father had spent a month in a cold basement, and in Russia since the start of the war, his friends had asked him not to mention that he was Ukrainian.

although he has no military combat experience, the military department of the institute is behind him.

The top manager says there was no threat to his life, but questions the suicides of other top managers. He believes that the suicide of Gazprombank's first vice-president, Vladislav Avayev, was a staging, as was the suicide of Novatek's top manager, Sergei Protosen.

“Ukraine has been discredited as a reliable gas supplier in the eyes of European consumers in order to lose its transit status,” said the company's former vice president. According to him, the volume of Russian gas transit through Ukraine has fallen from 104 billion cubic meters to 41 billion since 2011.
