Ukrainian strongman Oleksiy Novikov won the title of the strongest man in Europe at the competition in Leeds, UK, reports Tribuna.com.

The tournament consisted of five exercises – in two of them the Ukrainian took first place. As a result, Novikov scored 52 points and won the tournament.

The top three included Luke Stoltman from Scotland and Georgian Konstantin Janashia. Another Ukrainian, Pavlo Kordiyaka, scored 37 points and finished fourth.

During the award ceremony, Oleksiy Novikov asked those present to observe a moment of silence for all those killed in the war in Ukraine.
