Ukraine will receive $ 1.5 billion from the World Bank to pay for the work of state employees – the Ministry of Finance

The government has set up a special delegation to work with an international financial institution.

Ukraine will receive from the World Bank about $ 1.5 billion to provide payments to public sector employees. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance.

According to the agency, in April the World Bank invited Ukraine to start preparing a new investment project to urgently support the provision of public services in Ukraine. It is expected that under this project, with the support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association, Ukraine will receive a loan of $ 1.492 billion. The money will be used to reimburse employees of state bodies and budgetary institutions of education.

On May 7, the government set up a delegation from Ukraine to negotiate with representatives of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This will help coordinate actions and implement the financial assistance project as soon as possible.
