Ukraine has three sources of growth – Sold

Oksana Prodan, adviser to the head of AMU, explained in which three areas it is important for Ukraine to develop.

Today the democratic world is fighting one of the biggest armies of the world next to Ukraine, because it protects not only us, but also itself. After the Victory, the urgent need to spend resources on Ukraine will disappear. But interest will remain, the realization of which will be possible only after our quality work on the mistakes of the previous 30 years and in the case of systematic and intensive internal work on revival. About the three sources of growth that we have, Oksana Prodan, adviser to the head of the Association of Cities of Ukraine on municipal issues, writes in her article for ZN.UA Recovery of Ukraine: what, how and why should the central and municipal authorities”.

The first of such sources is culture. As the author noted, successful countries do not spend on culture, but invest in it, spread it through economic relations as their own advantages in the global world market.

< p>“And we have something to share. But in the government's Plan for the Restoration of Ukraine, culture is seen behind the shoulders of sports in their joint program only as a direction for the “development” of funds. Without creating a system of nation power. Therefore, let me remind you: the revival will take place when culture is not our expense, but a source of development for each of us, Ukraine and the world,” Prodan said.

She called the economy the second source of growth. The author pointed out that Ukraine remains a market for the sale and supply of goods and services to international corporations. In particular, we have many assets with which we can provide the world's needs, so we are interesting for investment. But this is not enough.

“Business started fleeing Ukraine long before the war, and it is not deterred by the conditions proposed in the Government Plan. The government in Lugano did not propose any real changes. Moreover, it is obvious that the government officials have no understanding of the way, and the imitation of turbulent activity continues. And this is when economic success depends not on the resource capabilities of one or another entity, but on the readiness and ability to solve the issues and problems facing the world,” the author explains.

So, the ten biggest markets in the world today are: hunger, poverty, government insanity, energy and water shortages, freedom, old age, health, communications, stimulating dreams for a better life, love and friendship. They may seem strange or impossible to us, but the world is willing to pay for them, and they should determine the direction of the strategic development of our economy. Moreover, we will be able to satisfy a significant part of the listed markets, and it is not only hunger, freedom, energy and IT as communications, it is also at least the mania of governments.

Prodan points to security as the third source of growth. In the article, she noted that the strength and experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already of great interest to international alliances and security associations. It is important to create a strategic security system that will be based not only on the Armed Forces, but also on the geopolitical interests of countries, on the interest of our partners in Ukraine.

“There is nothing in the government's Recovery Plan about world geopolitics, about the subjectivization of Ukraine, about using future opportunities. God gave us land in the best place and with invaluable resources, we must finally learn to capitalize on them for the benefit of all citizens of Ukraine. Effective changes in economic conditions, transparency and guarantee of rights will interest powerful foreign investors to enter Ukraine with capital that they will want to keep in the future. And this is also our security,” the article says.

The author explains that our geographical location is not only a threat from Russia, which will force us to become pragmatic, decisive and strong, but also great opportunities for building relations with the world. We have to find and create new solutions, new alliances, new sources of strength for ourselves and for our partners in the big world of geopolitics.

“…If recovery is only about construction, it a priori cannot ensure high-level development.Post-war Ukraine should be based on a network of capable communities, and the decision-making system at all levels should be changed for the better compared to the pre-war corruption model. Ensuring the specified positions and the cooperation of all public authorities and international partners will make the revival of Ukraine real,” added Prodan.
