The Foreign Minister believes that China's assistance can significantly accelerate the peace process in Ukraine.

Ukraine has proposed to China to become one of the guarantors of security to end the war with Russia. This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with Xinhua News Agency.

The diplomat expressed hope that China would help restore peace on Ukrainian soil. In particular, participation in negotiations with the aggressor country. Kuleba stressed that the support of such a powerful state is of great importance in resolving the extremely difficult situation in Ukraine.

“Earlier, we considered the Budapest Memorandum an important security norm for Ukraine, but, unfortunately, it did not bring us real security. Ukraine is currently exploring the possibility of obtaining security guarantees from permanent members of the UN Security Council and other major powers, including China. We propose that China become one of the guarantors of Ukraine's security and this is a sign of our respect and trust in the People's Republic of China, “Kuleb said.
