Ukraine and the United Kingdom have officially abolished export duties and quotas on bilateral trade. The relevant agreement was signed and is designed for 12 months with a possible extension by agreement of the parties. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

The statement said that the agreement with the partner country will allow Ukraine to significantly increase exports of high value-added goods.

“Now Ukrainian producers will be able to export more products to the British market. These include flour, grain, dairy products, poultry and semi-finished products, tomato paste, honey, corn, wheat, juices, mushrooms, sugar and more. It is these goods that Ukraine traditionally exports to the United Kingdom, “the Ministry of Economy said.

The agency also noted that in 2021 Ukraine's trade turnover with the United Kingdom increased by 57% and amounted to 2.2 billion dollars.
