The US Congress presented a resolution on allocating $12.35 billion in financial aid to Ukraine

This is $600 million more than the White House's request.

The USA continues to actively support the Ukrainian economy, which is suffering from significant losses as a result of the war. On September 27, Congress presented a draft of a short-term budget resolution, which provides for an aid package for Ukraine in the amount of 12.35 billion dollars. This was announced by the head of the “Servant of the People” faction David Arahamiya.

According to the People's Deputy, the new package of financial aid exceeds the amount requested by the White House by $600 million.

“Today, the US Congress presented a draft of a short-term budget resolution, which provides for a $12.35 billion aid package for Ukraine, which is $600 million more than the White House's request. 7.8 billion is earmarked for defense, and 4.5 billion for direct budget support of Ukraine. This document also renews the authority of the Administration to transfer weapons and equipment to Ukraine directly from US stockpiles in the new fiscal year in the amount of $3.7 billion,” Arahamia said.

Representative Ukrainian authorities thanked the ally for their support and expressed the hope that both houses of Congress will vote affirmatively for the project already this week.
