The undermining of the Kakhovskaya HPP threatens with a “nuclear catastrophe” – CNS

A decrease in the water level of the Kakhovsky Reservoir will lead to a failure in the cooling system of the Zaporizhzhya NPP reactors.

occupiers, may lead to a nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. In this case, the water level in the reservoir will decrease, which will lead to disruptions in the operation of the reactor cooling infrastructure. This was reported in the Center of National Resistance.

It is noted that the Russians installed remote-controlled explosives on the drainage and sewage systems along the access roads to the Antonivsky Bridge. Experts assume that they can detonate the explosives at the moment when the civilian population accumulates and decides to move to the left bank of the Dnieper.

“Such intentions indicate that the occupiers have decided to leave the right bank of the Dnieper, but at the same time cause maximum damage to Ukraine and to complicate further progress towards Crimea,” the message emphasizes.

The Center reminded that the hydroelectric dam holds 18 million cubic meters of water.

In addition, undermining the dam or destroying the locks will flood 80 settlements downstream, hundreds of thousands of people will be affected. This will make it impossible for the North Crimean Channel to function.
