The Ukrainian film was awarded at a festival in Portugal

The tape tells the story of 13-year-old Sasha from a boarding school for children deprived of parental care.

Olga Zhurba's film “Dad's Sneakers” won BEAST – International Film Festival in Portugal. According to Derzhkino, the film was awarded as the Best Feature Film.

“Daddy's Sneakers” is the story of 13-year-old Sasha from a boarding school for children deprived of parental care. He has to go to America to a foster family, but something is not letting him go.

The roles in the film were performed by non-professional actors Bohdan Zenchenko, Ihor Oliynyk, Dmytro Buchek, Olga Lubarova, Olena Osina, Corey Ann Jason and others.

The picture is also nominated for the European Film Awards 2022 in the category “European Short Film”. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony in December.
