The Ukrainian film “Klondike” won four awards at the festival in Turkey

The tape tells about a family that found itself at the epicenter of the tragedy of the Malaysian “Boeing” crash.

Film “Klondike” Marina's Er Horbach received five awards at the Antakya Film Festival, Derzhkino reports. In particular, the film was awarded as the best film.

In addition, “Klondike” was recognized in the categories of “Best Direction”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Editing” and “Best Actress”.

“The film continues to participate in festivals and win. In November, 24 more festival screenings are waiting for the project, as well as screenings for Oscar academicians,” Derzhkino said.

“Klondike” tells the story of a family that finds itself in the center of events of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash on July 17, 2014 in the village of Hrabovo, Donetsk region. Irka and Tolik are waiting for the birth of their first child, but along with the wreckage of the downed Boeing, war breaks into their lives. The woman refuses to evacuate, even when armed groups invade the village.

The main roles in the film were played by Oksana Cherkashina (“Bad Roads”), Serhiy Shadrin (“Black Crow”) and Oleg Shcherbina (“Cherkasy”).

The world premiere of “Klondike” took place as part of the World Cinema Dramatic Competition of the Sundance festival. This is the first Ukrainian feature film that entered the competition of the main independent film festival in the USA.
