MEPs want to punish the EU for sanctions against Russia.
Russia plans to punish the European Union for unfriendly sanctions against Russia and the Russians. Thus, the State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mykhailo Sheremet proposed to temporarily suspend gas exports to the European Union.
In his opinion, gas supplies should be suspended until the European Union realizes that an aggressive policy towards Moscow is “harmful and punitive.”
Recall that the ban on Russian exports gas to the European Union is Ukraine's dream. This would significantly accelerate our victory, as the currency from gas sales to the EU allows Russia to fight.

Earlier Zelensky called on the West to impose an embargo on energy from Russia: “Ukraine does not have time to wait.”
The President of the European Parliament said that the EU's dependence on the Kremlin's energy resources – this is financing the war in Ukraine.
