The State Cinema of Ukraine was accepted into the European Film Agency Directors

In May, Ukraine received an invitation to join the organization.

EFAD Association (European Film Agency Directors) unanimously voted for the accession of Ukraine as an associate member – a category for European film agencies that are not based in EU member states (Great Britain, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, etc.), Derzhkino reports.

At the opening of the Cannes Film Festival this year, Ukraine was invited to participate in the Association. In September, the approval of the EFAD General Assembly should come, our country will be exempted from paying membership fees for three years. Ukraine will have the opportunity to participate in the Association's competitions.

EFAD is a European association uniting 35 national film and audiovisual agencies, based in Brussels. EFAD membership includes the countries of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Norway, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland and Great Britain.
