The Russians had guarantees that there would be no opposition to the occupiers and that Kyiv would surrender without organized resistance, the expert said

Russian aggression in its initial form was planned based on the canons of hybrid warfare and the “fifth column”.

At the first stage, the actions of the Russian army seemed strange. The campaign was planned on a large scale and covered a huge area of the northern, eastern and southern directions, which seemed incredible before the beginning of the aggression. The aggressor's troops advanced in marching columns, in which units of the Russian Guard marched together with the military units.”Are you waiting for a powerful fire preparation and counteroffensive? It won't happen. Everything has already started” writes Serhii Savchenko, Major General of the Armed Forces, head of the NGO “Analytical Center for the Study and Counteraction of Hybrid Threats”. They did not have any information about the possible actions of our troops, as if they did not exist at all, – says an independent expert. – The enemy landed adventurous unprepared and unsecured airborne assaults, in particular in Gostomel and Vasylkov, which were destroyed. There was no military intelligence, no logistical system for the support of the troops.”

He notes that the actions of the aggressor's troops at the initial stage of the war were not based either on the basics of military art or on the provisions of Russian combat statutes .

So what was it? The simultaneous madness of the military leadership of the aggressor?

“No, the military is conscious. The adequacy of the military is indicated by the decision to end the military adventure in its original design, the rescue of the grouping of forces in the north from complete defeat by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the reduction of the front of military activity to the maximum possible level, as it seemed to them, – analyzes Savchenko. – If the aggression was planned without relying on the provisions of military science, as the Russians understand it, and as they are laid out in their governing documents, then what developments was this plan based on?

Russian aggression in its initial form was planned based on the canons of hybrid warfare. The main role was obviously assigned to the fifth column inside our country. And we can't just be talking about a bunch of marginals in different cities of Ukraine. The bet on them in 2014 did not come true either in the cities of southern Ukraine or in Slobozhan Oblast. And the occupation of parts of Donbas and Crimea took place by the forces of the Russian army and Russian mercenaries. Of course, it was not without the participation of local marginals, on the preparation and organization of which a lot of money and time was spent even before 2014. But in general, they are not a force that can be relied upon exclusively when starting aggression in such a scenario. Remember Girkin's public despair in 2014 due to the reluctance of local men to fight in Donbas”.

Based on the actions of the Russians, the expert concluded: they had guarantees that there would be no resistance to the occupiers and that Kyiv would surrender without organized resistance. They will surrender just as they surrendered the south of Ukraine, where the Armed Forces of our country, as well as the population, were deprived of the opportunity to mount armed resistance to the occupiers. Such conditions cannot be the result of betrayal, let alone the miscalculation of individual officials or officials. Such conditions are created as a result of large-scale hybrid operations. And the so-called “special operation” not only relies on them, but is the pinnacle of their implementation.

“The determination of the military — from the Commander-in-Chief to the lowest-level commanders, the unheard-of courage of the soldiers, the mass readiness of volunteers, like the entire population, to defend the cities and villages of Ukraine — thwarted the plans of the aggressor in the north and east of Ukraine, and soon stopped the enemy in the south as well,” Savchenko notes. –It is worth noting the importance of the decisive step of the President of Ukraine, who, in the conditions of a critical situation around the capital, made a courageous decision not to leave Kyiv.

The first stage of the hybrid aggression was planned and carried out as the final phase of the strategic hybrid operation, the major general concludes. This is indirectly confirmed by the organizational findings and arrests among the top management of the FSB, which took place in Russia after the failure of the occupiers' actions in the first stage.

< p>We remind you that the SBU continues to expose pro-Russian collaborators for treason. Thus, Oleg Kulinich, the former head of the Security Service in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, has already been sent under arrest without the right to bail. Also Yuriy Zdebskyi, an assistant deputy from the “Servant of the People” party, was exposed, who, being a Russian agent recruited by the FSB, carried out intelligence and subversive activities in the authorities.

It should be noted that the dismissal of SBU chief Ivan Bakanov and general prosecutor Iryna Venediktova is directly related to the failure of their departments in the regions, where hostilities are taking place today.
