The Rada extended martial law in Ukraine until August 23

General mobilization also continued.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine extended military action state in the state for 90 days until August 23, 2022. 320 deputies of the parliament voted for the corresponding bill №7390.

“To approve the decree of the President of Ukraine of May 17, 2022 №341” On the extension of martial law in Ukraine “, – said in the adopted law.

The law must be promulgated immediately through the media and enter into force on the day of its publication.

As noted earlier in the presidential faction “Servant of the People”, martial law in Ukraine was extended for three months, as the counteroffensive takes more time than defense. At the same time, if necessary, the parliament can cancel it at any time.

Also, in accordance with the same presidential decree, the term of general mobilization has been extended until August 23.

Note that the previous martial law was extended for 30 days and ends on May 25.

Martial law provides for the possibility, in particular, the introduction of curfew and access regime, prohibition of mass events, inspection of property and documents, confiscation of property for defense purposes with compensation to owners, violation of the right to secrecy of correspondence and telephone conversations, etc.
