Премьер Польши считает, что Россия хочет захватить треть Украины в ближайшее время

The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki believes that in the near future Russia will try to capture a third of Ukraine's territory. He said this in an interview with CNN.

According to him, Moscow is using this to strengthen its position in the negotiations.

“I see Russian troops regrouping, reorganizing. I think they will soon try to surround Ukrainian forces – particularly in the Donbass region. And then, capturing a third of the land in Ukraine, they will want to negotiate from this very strong position,” Said the Prime Minister.

He added that Ukrainian partners need to continue to impose a “crushing set of sanctions.” After all, in his opinion, Moscow is “afraid of long-term sanctions.”

“We are in favor of confiscating their assets and are doing everything possible to stop buying Russian oil and gas,” Moravetsky said.

The Prime Minister stressed that despite the tough sanctions of the Western allies, the value of the Russian ruble remains mostly stable. According to him, this is proof that “so far Putin and his people have been able to change fiscal policy, monetary policy, fiscal policy so that they are to some extent protected from sanctions … at least for the next few months.”

Mateusz Morawiecki also called on the West to immediately increase arms supplies to Ukraine. He appealed to the United States to “act quickly” because Ukraine is fighting for universal values.

“We must help the Ukrainians to defend their country as soon as possible. Our days are their hours, our weeks are their days; they need weapons here and now… Russia is a big country, a big country with a lot of goods, raw materials, resources… They have a big army. That is why they can regroup and reorganize again and again, “said the Polish Prime Minister.

Earlier, Mateusz Morawiecki announced plans to abandon Russian oil by the end of the year .
