The museums of the city have preserved several original masterpieces.

Russian occupiers took out all the valuable exhibits stored in the Museum of Local Lore and the Art Museum of Mariupol. This was announced by the adviser to the mayor Petro Andryushchenko.

According to him, the museums of Mariupol kept seven original masterpieces. According to preliminary information, they were handed over to the occupiers by Natalia Kapustina, director of the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore, who knew about the secret place where the exhibits were stored.

Yes, the occupiers got:

  • Originals of three paintings by Arkhip Kuindzhi “Red Sunset”, “Autumn” and “Elbrus”;
  • Originals of paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky “On the shores of the Caucasus”;
  • Two originals of Mykola Dubovsky's paintings “The Sea” and “Night on the Baltic Sea”;
  • The original work of Grigory Kalmykov “AI Kuindzhi”;
  • Bust of Kuindzhi by sculptor Vladimir Beklemishev;
  • Three unique icons: Jesus Christ Almighty, the Mother of God with the baby and John the Baptist.

Andryushchenko also notes that Kapustina is involved in the formation of false information about the destruction of the Azov Museum on March 15. At the same time, the head of the Department of Culture in the City Council, Diana Trima, has already denied these reports./p>
