The NBU has changed the limit for cash withdrawals abroad

The National Bank also tripled the limit on P2P transfers from hryvnia cards.

The National Bank of Ukraine has changed the weekly cash withdrawal limit from hryvnia payment cards abroad – now it will be 12.5 thousand hryvnias (equivalent) for seven calendar days.

At the same time, during the month, citizens of Ukraine will still be able to withdraw UAH 50,000 (equivalent) per month from hryvnia payment cards abroad.

The NBU also reduced the monthly limit on P2P transfers of citizens abroad from hryvnia payment cards of Ukrainian banks from UAH 100,000 (equivalent) to UAH 30,000 (equivalent).

A monthly limit for payments abroad using hryvnia payment cards in the amount of UAH 100,000 (equivalent) from all client bank accounts opened in the national currency has also been established. The NBU assures that this restriction will not be felt by the majority of citizens who are abroad.

“The NBU Board may introduce a separate procedure for conducting currency purchase operations by banks for their own needs,” the National Bank said in a statement.
