The Ukrainians dealt with the Italian team.
The national team of Ukraine played the third match in group C on Eurobasket-2022.
Ainars Bagatskis' team met in Milan with the host of the tournament, the Italian national team and won with a score of 84:73.
The Italians won with the support of the home stands the first quarter, and in the second they reached a margin of 10 points, but at the long break the score was not catastrophic – 42:38 in favor of the hosts.
Then the Ukrainian national team added and equalized the score several times. In the final quarter, Bagatskis' team made a breakthrough and took an 11-point lead. In the last minutes, the Ukrainian basketball players acted confidently and brought the case to victory.
In the third match in a row, Svyatoslav Mykhailiuk became the most effective player of the Ukrainian national team – the NBA basketball player scored 25 points.

The Ukrainian national team beat Great Britain (90:61) in the first round, and Estonia (74:73) in the second round. Three victories early guaranteed the Ukrainian team a ticket to the playoffs of the European Championship.
The Ukrainians will play their next match in the group against Greece on September 6. The start is at 18:00.
