The Interior Ministry explained why Russia will try to prolong the war until the end of the year

Blackmail remains one of the Kremlin's main diplomatic tools.

Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Viktor Andrusiv also believes that Russia will try to prolong the war in Ukraine “at least” until the end of the year. He explained on the telethon that the reason for this was the aggressor's attempt to provoke an energy crisis in the West, which the Kremlin hopes will force the EU to enter into a dialogue with Moscow.

“The Russians plan to delay at least until the end of the year. I explain why – according to their calculations, a serious energy crisis will begin closer to winter, and heating problems will begin, and in Ukraine these problems will begin, and serious problems with the economy,” Andrusiv explains. Because energy prices are rising very much, and now the Kremlin's bet will be that by the end of the year the West will understand, so to speak, that it is necessary to negotiate with Russia, and if they (occupiers – ed.) they expect to be negotiated with what they demand. ”

Yesterday, Adviser to the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin stated that Russia wants to hold talks not only with Ukraine, but also with the West . According to him, “for negotiations, all parties, including Europe and the United States, must have a constructive attitude.”
