The head of the Moscow Komsomol lost his property in Finland in his old age with the support of Putin

For the first time in Finland, transactions with the assets of a person on the EU sanctions list have been banned.

Finland has arrested the real estate and land of the editor-in-chief of the “Moscow Komsomol” – 73-year-old Pavel Gusev. This was reported by the Finnish newspaper Yle.

The arrest of the Russian propagandist's property was imposed in support of Kremlin policy.

According to Finnish media, 73-year-old Gusev owns a summer house and almost 20 hectares of land in Yanakkal, in the Kanta-Häme region, together with his ex-wife. Gusev bought a summer residence in Yanakkal back in 2003.

A bailiff's order restricts the sale or other disposal of property.

According to another Finnish newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, for the first time in Finnish history, transactions with the assets of a person on the EU sanctions list have been banned.

Earlier, the Moscow Komsomol came under EU sanctions. According to the EU, the publication supports the Kremlin's narratives and actions. Gusev is considered a proxy and supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In Ukraine, sanctions against the “Moscow Komsomol” were imposed in August 2021, by decision of the National Security and Defense Council .

We will remind, after the beginning of February 24 of war of Russia in Ukraine the collective West led by the USA and with active participation of the European Union, Great Britain, Australia and Canada brought down on Moscow unprecedented its tightening of sanctions, including the disconnection of some Russian banks from the international payment system SWIFT. The EU has already agreed on five packages of “crippling restrictive measures” against Russia, the sixth on the way and envisaging an oil embargo.
