The government has introduced a visa regime with Russia

The innovation will take effect on July 1.

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Friday, 17 June, as reported by ZN.UA , approved a resolution “On termination of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on visa-free travel for citizens of Ukraine and the Russian Federation and the application of certain international agreements of Ukraine with the Russian Federation” essentially introduces a visa regime with the neighboring aggressor state.

“We are finally severing ties with Russia. In order to counteract unprecedented threats to the national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, the Government has just decided to terminate the visa-free agreement with Russia on the instructions of the President of Ukraine, “said Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

Thus, Russians will not be able to enter Ukraine without a visa.

The decision comes into force on July 1 this year.
