The evidence has been gathered: the Ministry of Justice has filed a lawsuit to ban pro-Russian parties

Any new parties created by members of existing pro-Russian forces may also be banned.

After the official publication of the Law on Prohibition pro-Russian political parties The Ministry of Justice has filed a lawsuit with the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal in Lviv, Ukrainian Justice Minister Denys Malyuska told Radio NV.

The minister stressed that the lawsuit did not concern not only OPZZh, but also other parties mentioned in the decision of the National Security and Defense Council .

“The necessary evidence has been gathered. It is most complete in the activities of the OPZZ, because this party was most active in the pro-Russian position and communicated it, “said Malyuska.

He expects that the first court decisions to ban pro-Russian parties are expected in the summer: to consider the case in the first instance within a month. If there is an appeal, it will also be considered for a maximum of one month.

At the same time, even before the court decision, the political parties against which the lawsuit was filed will not be able to conduct their political activities. Any decisions of these parties will have no legal significance. Another part of the process of suspending the activities of political parties is the dissolution of the OPZH faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

, if such activities are carried out “, – Denis Malyuska emphasized.

As for specific politicians, they can also be held accountable. According to the Minister, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on sanctions in the form of recovery of state assets of sanctioned entities: and then, at the request of public authorities to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, the assets of such persons may be confiscated from state revenue. And this is just one way to bring pro-Russian politicians to justice. “
