The European Union has allowed its companies to perform financial leasing contracts, concluded with Russian airlines until February 26. After the expiration of the contract, the aircraft will become the property of carriers from the Russian Federation under the terms of financial leasing. This is reported by the Russian media.

The exact number of aircraft leased by Russian companies is unknown.

According to experts, their number is small because financial leasing is less common than operating leasing, in which carriers pay. only part of the value of the vessel during its operation.

In other words, the EU has eased sanctions against Russia.
