The European Union calls on Russia to cancel its decision on the grain agreement – Borel

According to him, overcoming the global food crisis is under threat.

The head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell reacted to the decision Russia regarding the termination of the grain agreement in the Black Sea and called on the Russian Federation to cancel this decision. He wrote about this on social networks.

According to him, this decision endangers overcoming the global food crisis, which was provoked by the Russian Federation's war in Ukraine.

“Russia's decision to suspend participation in the agreement on the Black Sea is jeopardizing the main export route for much-needed grain and fertilizer to tackle the global food crisis caused by its war against Ukraine. The EU calls on Russia to reverse its decision,” he wrote.

Let us remind you that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced about the suspension of Russia's participation in the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain. The reason for this decision is the “terrorist attack” in Sevastopol against ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation and civilian vessels.

In turn, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that Ukraine remains a reliable partner for the civilized world and is ready continue to promptly collect and ship agricultural products to ensure global food security.
