The European Commission proposes to abolish customs duties on all exports from Ukraine to the EU for a year

The European Commission has proposed to suspend for a year all import duties on all exports from Ukraine to the European Union, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal in Telegram .

< p> “The EU has never before taken such large-scale trade liberalization measures against any country. This opens up additional opportunities for our business, and our products become more competitive in the European market. We have been negotiating the abolition of customs duties with our European colleagues and we are grateful that they heard us and supported Ukraine, “the statement reads.

The Government of Ukraine, according to the Prime Minister, has agreements and is negotiating with Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Germany and other countries, to let our exports through the ports of these countries.

“We have thwarted the enemy's plans for a complete blockade of our economy,” Shmygal said.

The Prime Minister added that his team continues to work to ensure that, in addition to the EU and the UK, the decision to abolish customs duties on Ukrainian products have been approved by our other allies.
