The Cabinet of Ministers has abolished the “ceiling” for prices for premium fuel at gas stations – on one condition

The Cabinet of Ministers has removed the ceiling on premium fuel prices for gas stations, subject to fuel trade and regulated prices. The relevant resolution № 488 of April 29 was published on the government's website on Saturday.

limits on trade margins, allowed gas stations to set unlimited prices for “branded premium” fuel, provided that they also sell fuel at state-regulated prices.

According to the approved changes, the calculation of the regulated price also increased the cost of external logistics from $ 50 to $ 80 per ton.

The document also contains the government's announced increase in trade margins. to the average retail price of diesel fuel sold by gas stations, from 5 to 7 UAH/liter, for gasoline – from 4.55 UAH to 6.5 UAH/liter.

It will be recalled that the Government limited the price of premium fuel at gas stations in late March. According to a government decision, the retail prices of “branded premium” fuel could not exceed the state-regulated retail prices of fuel by more than 5%.

After Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, our state lost almost all its fuel imports. We are talking about 80% of domestic consumption.

As a result, there was a crisis in the Ukrainian fuel market that limited the supply of fuel in gas stations.

Later the occupiers destroyed the only oil refinery in Ukraine – the Kremenchug refinery.
