The Cabinet of Ministers announced a mass sale of state property from September 1: elevators and bread factories are on the list

As it follows from the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers, for some reason, state elevators are used inefficiently, while private operators are experiencing a shortage of them.

From September 1, mass privatization should start in Ukraine. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a conference call with heads of regions, “Government Portal” reports.

“The President of Ukraine set the task of starting privatization from September. For this purpose, the Verkhovna Rada has adopted relevant legislation, the Government has developed all bylaws. We have to make this process as fast as possible,” said the head of the Government.

In particular, according to Shmyhal, auctions will be announced at the beginning of September sale of grain elevators and grain processing plants.

“Privatization will also provide an opportunity to expand production for farmers. The Ministry of Economy reported that at the beginning of September, according to the schedule, auctions will be announced for elevator capacities and for grain processing plants. Market operators who see a capacity deficit will be able to participate in these tenders.” , Shmyhal said.

According to the head of the government, objects that are used inefficiently will be put up for sale.

“Small-scale privatization, especially in regions where people in villages and towns know about facilities that have been standing for years and are inefficiently used, is intended to provide an opportunity to buy these premises for a fair price and start work,” Denys Shmyhal stressed.
