The British Embassy will return to Kyiv – Liz Trass

The British Foreign Secretary said that Ambassador Melinda Simmons would arrive in the capital in the coming days.

The United Kingdom will soon return its embassy in Ukraine from Lviv to Kyiv. This was announced by Foreign Minister Liz Trass.

The British Foreign Secretary reiterated her support for Ukraine in the war against Russia and thanked her fellow diplomats for their work.

“We are resuming the work of the British Embassy in Kyiv, our Ambassador Melinda Simmons will return to the city in the near future. We thank Melinda and her team for their hard work and resilience. We are together with Ukraine, “Trass wrote on Twitter.

It will be recalled that Britain evacuated its embassy in Lviv a week before the start of a full-scale Russian invasion. For some time in March, all the country's diplomatic missions were closed, and Melinda Simmons was outside Ukraine.
