Swimmer Romanchuk won the first medal in the history of Ukraine at the World Open Water Championships

The athlete became a bronze medalist of the world championship.

Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk won a bronze medal World Championships in water sports , which takes place in Budapest, Hungary.

Romanchuk performed in the distance of 5 kilometers on open water and finished in third place, showing a time of 53.13.90 minutes.

The victory was celebrated by German Florian Wellbrock, and the second place was taken by Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri.

This is the first medal in the history of Ukraine at the World Open Championships.

In general, Ukraine at the World Cup in Budapest has already won 9 awards – 2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals. Ukrainians take seventh place in the medal standings.

It will be recalled that Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk is a silver and bronze medalist of the 2022 Olympics in Tokyo.
