The best Ukrainian tennis player misses the season.
Yesterday, March 24, Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina ended her fight ahead of schedule at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami.
In the second round, the Ukrainian lost to Heather Watson from Great Britain (№115 WTA) with a score of 6: 4, 3: 6, 6: 7.
Svitolina has played 13 matches this season, losing eight of them. After the tournament in Miami, Elina will leave the top 20 of the world rankings for the first time since August 2016.
We will remind, the best Ukrainian tennis player finished last season on the 14th position. This was the worst result of the Ukrainian for the last 6 years.
At the Olympics in Tokyo, Svitolina won bronze, winning the first medal for Ukraine in the history of Olympic tennis tournaments.
