“I am against the holding of this match. I always speak only for peace. The association knows my opinion. Unfortunately, I am not the one who makes a decision about who Bosnia and Herzegovina will play, but I have a clear position, which does not include participation in this game while innocent people are suffering. I stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine at this difficult time for them,” the 36-year-old footballer is quoted as saying “Inter” Tribuna.com with reference to Klix.

Let us remind you that the Bosnian football association decided to hold a control match with Russia on November 19 in St. Petersburg. According to media reports, the Russian Federation will pay the opponent 200,000 euros for this game and will cover all travel and accommodation expenses.

All Russian national teams and football clubs have been suspended from tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA. At the same time, friendly matches did not fall under these sanctions.
