“Shakhtar” signed a Ukrainian footballer from the Hungarian championship

Ivan Petryak joined the “miners”.

Donetsk Shakhtar added Ukrainian midfielder Ivan Petryak to the team, as reported by the club's press service.

The 28-year-old football player signed a four-year contract. Petryak moved to Shakhtar from the Hungarian club MOL Fehervar.

Ivan Petryak was already in Shakhtar after the transfer from Zorya Luhansk in 2016. Then the club leased the midfielder back to “Zorya” and to the Hungarian “Ferencvaros”.

As a result, Petryak remained in Hungary, but moved to “MOL Fehervar” in 2019. He played 124 matches for the team, scored 28 goals and made 26 assists. The player also has five matches for the national team of Ukraine.

Let us remind you that Shakhtar only had two legionnaires left due to the war. They are striker Lassina Traore and midfielder Neven Jurasek, who joined the team in July.

Miners will start the new UPL season on August 23 with a match against Metalist 1925.
