Salaries in Ukraine and Poland: how incomes differ from a programmer to a maid

Demand for vacancies in Poland increased by almost 10%.

Wages of workers in Ukraine and neighboring Poland can differ in times. This is evidenced by the estimates of the Analytical Center of the international employment agency Gremi Personal.

It is noted that the difference between earnings in Ukraine and EU countries is particularly acute now, as Ukrainian salaries have lost 35.7% in currency equivalent.

“The drop in real currency income by more than a third pushes Ukrainian women to decide to go to work in Poland and support their families in Ukraine with remittances. In addition, we forecast an increase in wages in the Polish labor market in the fall. This is due to several factors: the first is the shortage of male workers from Ukraine on the Polish market due to the ban on their departure abroad; the second is the need to create additional financial incentives, namely to raise wage rates on the part of Polish businesses, in order to quickly “close” urgent needs in production,” says Anna Jobolda, director of the recruitment department of the international employment agency Gremi Personal.

“Comparing with 2021, the demand for agency vacancies from the Poles increased by 9%. Even in positions traditionally occupied by workers from Ukraine. There are also several reasons – the rising cost of living in Poland, high inflation and the rise in mortgage rates,” emphasizes the CEO of Gremi Personal Tomasz Bogdevich.

The data on average salaries in Ukraine are based on the monthly ratings of the employment portal Work.uа and according to the data of the international employment agency Gremi Personal.
